Phillips Park DGC at
Phillips Park
Course Designers: J. Gary Dropcho and the Carrick High School Frisbee Club
Phillips Park disc golf course was created and bulit in 1996 by students and teachers at Carrick High School, which sits across the street from the park. The original baskets were fabricated and installed by metal shop and construction students. Jim O'Mara's Eagle scout project in 1998 added concrete tee pads and tee signs. Citiparks paid for new baskets installed by PFDS volunteers in November 2011.
The 9-hole course sits on a grassy hillside with mature hardwood trees, and features elevated shots through generous fairways, fast greens and out of bounds areas on the perimeter of the park.
