The course takes its name from three fishing lakes and a healthy deer herd in this 1,180 acre regional Allegheny County park. The par-66 disc golf course features a front and back nine layout that loop from the Blue Gill parking lot. Two practice baskets, bathrooms and a pavilion are among the park facilities available to disc golfers. Course installed October 2006.
Distances from the Red/White/Blue tees to the green centers are measured at 5685/7257/8316 feet. No two holes are alike, and all reward well executed shots to and from elevated greens and tees, and across undulating mature forested and grassy fairways. Each hole has three pin locations; some fast, some tucked and some sweet. Hole 15’s downhill tee shot over the uppermost lake is one of many signature shots on this J. Gary Dropcho, Tom Moeller, and Dan Sauers design.
