Course Description
The course is true to its name, with striking downhill shots and huff n’ puff approaches to some fast greens. Many long, open and grassy fairways, a water hazard, and plenty of hardwoods force accurate throws. Well-marked tee signs and putting basket. Red, White (concrete) and Blue tees and three pin placements per hole provide a challenge for all level of players.
Designed by Keith Clark, J. Gary Dropcho and Michael Novara and installed in 1994, Knob Hill has been improved steadily. Marshall Township deserves a lot of credit for maintaining and improving the course. The partnership between the township and the Pittsburgh Flying Disc Society is a great model of cooperation and support. Knob Hill Park has grown up with the course and disc golf is a featured aspect of the recreational facilities including an outstanding playground, bathrooms, picnic pavilions, baseball and soccer fields, and hiking trails.
